Visiting Research Fellowships 2018-2019
The Middle East in the Contemporary World (MECW) Strategic Research Area at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies invites letters of interest from academics working on topics that are related to MECW’s research themes for the 2018-2019 visiting research fellowships. The fellowships are intended for scholars who have an active publication plan which they wish to fulfill during a 3-6 months residency at CMES. Further, the fellowships are intended to enhance the research profile of CMES and contribute to the public impact of (MECW).
These are short-term residential fellowships that are intended to support finalizing publications intended for peer-review outlets (journal articles, edited books, or book manuscripts). During the residency, visiting fellows are expected to make their work accessible through seminars and public presentations. Selection will be based on existing publication record and feasibility of meeting set publication goals.
To apply, please email your CV (including list of publications and contact information of references), a letter of interest that describes your research trajectory and plans for the fellowship period, a budget for expenses incurred during your residency period and publication costs, and drafts of articles or book proposals to dalia.abdelhadycme.luse. Applications will be considered on rolling basis, and the availability of funds.
