Policy-Research Dialogue on Inclusive Peacemaking

Policy-research dialogue participants

CMES director Karin Aggestam organised a policy-research dialogue in Prato, Italy, with Professor Jacqui True at Monash University. The participants included international peacemakers, scholars, and the former Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström who delivered a keynote address.

The overarching aim of the policy-research dialogue was to rethink and generate new innovative ideas for policy and practice on gender-inclusive peacemaking. It was based on the extensive experience and knowledge that peace practitioners have gained in the last decades.

A keynote speech was held by the former Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström. After the workshop, a summary report and policy brief will be produced including recommendations on how gender-inclusive peacemaking can be advanced.
