Svante Lundgren

I have a doctorate in Jewish Studies from Åbo Akademi University, Finland. I have worked as a teacher at a secondary school and as a researcher and lecturer at Åbo Akademi University. For two years (2012-13) I was a researcher at the Center for Theology and Religious Studies at Lund University. After that I have worked for the Assyrian Federation of Sweden.

At CMES my research will focus on the Christian minorities of the Middle East. I have a special interest in, some would say passion for, the Assyrians in Iraq and the Armenians in Lebanon. Other research interests are the Ottoman genocide 1915, Palestinian Christianity, Muslim-Christian relations, and converts from Islam to Christianity.
