Journal: CyberOrient
CMES houses the Journal CyberOrient
CyberOrient is an open access, peer-reviewed journal housed at CMES. The journal is devoted to research on the impact of cyberspace and its representation in the Middle East, North Africa and wider Islamic world in Asia, presenting original articles, comments and book reviews on the online representation of any aspect of Middle Eastern cultures, Islam, the imagined “Orient” and the use and impact of the internet and new media in the Middle East and Islamic countries.
CyberOrient publishes two issues per year and invites scholars in any discipline to contribute articles or serve as guest editors. With a rapid turn-around time, CyberOrient can publish online in a timely fashion. The interdisciplinary journal is published by American Anthropological Association, the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, the Centre for Advanced Middle Eastern Studies and the Centre for Theology and Religious Studies of Lund University. CMES Researcher Anders Ackfeldt is co-associate journal editor.
