Lovisa Rosenquist Ohlsson
PhD Student

Lovisa has studied physical geography both in her bachelors and masters at the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science at Lund University. During the past 5 years she has conducted fieldwork in various environments (Arctic, boreal, urban, and agricultural), worked with GIS and remote sensing, learnt about the biogeochemical processes of Earth and our climate system. During her masters thesis, she focused on the potential connection between vegetation fires and conflict in Iraq, and realized this was an exceptionally interesting subject. She has gone on exchange to both the arctic island of Svalbard, and the melodic Mozambique, and she very much looks forward to working with (and in) the Middle East going forward, to better understand the climate risks and adaptations found in the region.
