Raed Bashitialshaaer, obtained my PhD in 2011 from the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Lund University; Master of wastewater management and bachelor's degree in civil engineering, both in Cyprus. Also, he received Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Diploma from Bangladesh and Electric Diploma from Gaza (UNRWA), Palestine.
Over the past fifteen years, he has worked as a researcher, supervisor, mentoring and taught some courses here in Sweden and other places (Cyprus, Oman and Bolivia). Published more than 40 articles (papers), book chapters plus many conferences around the world.
Raed has extensively worked in the desalination field and environmental research related solutions for water resources as an expert for more than 10 years modeling and analyzing of the consequences, especially for the Middle East region such as Persian/Arabian Gulf, the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, and written a number of articles about the Red-Dead Sea canal project.
His teaching experience and interests are: Environmental Science, Fluid Mechanics, Hydromechanics, Engineering Hydraulics, Engineering Hydrology, Water Resources, Water and wastewater treatment, desalination and Brine Discharge courses. Currently, my main topic is to study the effects of climate change on water resources and related stressors.
