Fadia Fatemeh Maghsood

Visiting Research Fellow

Fadia is a researcher at CMES in Lund University. She received a bachelor’s degree from Tehran University, Iran in 2012. The title of her project was “physiographic characteristics in the watershed” and “Drought Monitoring”. She defended a Master in 2014 with the title “Modelling of Meteorological and Hydrogeological Drought Forecasting using Artificial Neural Network and Time Series Analysis”. Also, she received a PhD degree in Watershed Management and Engineering, Faculty of Natural Resources, Tarbiat Modares University (TMU), Iran in 2019. Her research area covered the impact of climate change on flood and adaptive strategies. During her PhD, she was granted a scholarship from the Department of Scholarship and Overseas Student’s Affairs, Iran Ministry of Science, Research & Technology. Now she is a researcher at CMES where she works on the impact of climate change on flooding, adaptive strategies to climate change and analysis of satellite-based precipitation products. She collaborated in National Mega-Project entitled “A Study of the Impact of Climate Change and Drought Management” and also taught for four semesters at the Islamic Azad University in Iran.

Her research interests include: climate change; hydrological modelling; adaptive strategies to climate change and satellite products. In this regard, she has skills and experiences in hydrological modelling, GIS, remote sensing and programming.
