Mehdi Ghavideldostkohi

Persian instructor

Mehdi majored in "culture and literature" as part of a high school program in Persian language, literature and culture. After receiving his BA in Arabic language and literature from the University of Tehran, for several years Mehdi worked with Iranian TV as a foreign news editor-in-chief. In the early 2000s he studied International Relations (MA) at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran. In 2010, he came to the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University to study a second MA degree in Middle East Studies. From 2012 to 2015, he conducted research concerning Middle Eastern affairs.

Mehdi is a Persian instructor and responsible for training in Persian language and Iranian culture at CMES. His research interests include Persian language and Iranian studies, Middle Eastern cultures and languages, culinary tourism, international relations of the Middle East, and politics in the Persian Gulf with a focus on Qatar.
