Message from the director: New CMES board in place

While CMES 2.0 is still in the making some important steps have been taken in the last few weeks. We are pleased to announce that a new interdisciplinary board has been formed.

Four faculties are represented from Lund University, which include dean and prof Christofer Edling (chair), prof Martin Dribe, Economic History, prof Maria Gomez, LUDC, and prof Lena Halldenius, Human Rights.

External board members are ambassador and director Charlotta Sparre, Swedish Dialogue Institute for the Middle East and North Africa and Dr Rouzbeh Parsi, Swedish Institute of International Affairs.

We are very excited to have such a distinguished board and look forward to collaborate and draw on their wide-range experiences and knowledge. The ongoing Covid-pandemic continues to pose several challenges, but we are hopeful that in the coming new year we will see the light at the end of the tunnel.
