Modeling Sediment Transport in Iran

Cover of the book "Remote Sensing of Soil and Land Surface Processes: Monitoring, Mapping, and Modeling"

CMES researcher Amir Naghibi has co-authored a chapter on AI modeling of sediment transport in Iranian rivers.

The chapter "Suspended sediment load prediction and tree-based algorithms" is authored by Salim Heddam, Amir Naghibi, Khabat Khosravi and Shailesh K. Singh. It is part of the edited volume Remote Sensing of Soil and Land Surface Processes: Monitoring, Mapping, and Modeling, edited by Assefa M. Melesse, Omid Rahmati and Khabat Khsoravi (Elsevier, 2023). The chapter discusses an AI-based framework for modeling sediment transport in rivers in Iran.
