On 13 February, CMES organised a workshop on the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) in Jordan. The workshop brought together researchers and practitioners to discuss inclusive economic models and their role in regional development.

On 26 February, CMES hosted a well-attended seminar titled: “Yemen Between War and Peace”. Featuring Maria Louise Clausen from the Danish Institute for International Studies, the seminar brought together a full room and an engaged audience for a timely discussion on Yemen’s political trajectory and prospects for peace.

CMES is now recruiting part-time student interns for Spring 2026. This is a valuable opportunity for Lund University students interested in Middle Eastern studies, research coordination, and academic outreach. Application details are available on our website.
