About Pinar Dinc

Pinar Dinc has a PhD in Political Science from the Department of Government at the London School of Economics. Her research interests lie in the areas of nationalism, ethnicity, social movements, memory, diaspora and the conflict-environment nexus in the Middle East and beyond. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and leads the interdisciplinary Exploring Conflict-Environment Interactions for Sustainable Development and Conservation (ECO-Syria) Project since September 2023. The project is funded by the Strategic Research Area: The Middle East in the Contemporary World (MECW) at the Centre for Advanced Middle Eastern Studies.
